Addams Family 2018 at Northeast Alabama Community College

When you're an Addams do or die! Addams family directed by Mark Webb was my first musical solo design. My goal with this design was to breathe life into world behind the Addams family and tell a story through the lighting that represented the dark undertones of this grim New York family home. One of the ways I was able to accomplish this was with the family ancestors. As you can see in my photos below I wanted to keep the Addams specters as mere shadows of the main action often keeping their realm in a deep wash full of heavy side light and shadowing to impose an eerie effect. I poured myself into this show and it will go down as one of my favorite musicals I've ever designed.
