Buddy Holly Hall Portfolio
As the Lighting Director at Buddy Holly Hall not only am I in charge of advancing Lx, rigging, line set needs and running crews for tours and local clients coming through I am also a designer for the hall. I have LD'ed 7 concerts, 3 Dance shows, and numerous small shows for local clients. These designs have been as simple as "run with what you have hanging" and gone as far as renting more fixtures and running full concert packages. Below are a few examples.
Dance Gallery May 2022
Concerts are not my only responsibility as LD and Dance Gallery is a prime example of that. This 700 cue show is designed, programmed, touched up and ran over the course of three days. The pieces this year touched on the subject of the unknown. I relied heavily on my high sides and back light to create the mysterious, melodic, and shadowy tones you see below. The LED high sides allowed me to create beautiful highlights without loosing the dancers faces when i lost my front light for mood shifts. Photography by: Kathy Dabs
LADY A June 16 2022
Lady A was the fifth Concert I designed with Buddy Holly Hall and was a wonderful experience. I worked with the tour manager to put together a newer "theatrical test look" for the tour moving forward. (renderings for the ground package are pictured at the bottom)
CHARLEY CROCKETT August 24 2022
Charley Crockett was the last Concert I designed with Buddy Holly Hall (for now) and I'm looking forward to seeing where Charley Crockett's music goes. His energy on stage was infectious and I think it's safe to say I definitely became a follower of Charley's music that night!
