Capstone Projects 2021 The Stepfather

The Stepfather directed and written by Brian New is a comedy spoof of The Godfather. This was my first ever design for film. After working on She Kills Monsters where I learned how to light for the camera in a controlled environment, I had to quickly adapt to being on a set where I had less control. Most of our scenes had to be shot at night to ensure I was dealing with as little light solution as possible, and guarantee I could manipulate the light around the actors. I was constantly checking the cameras to create "the perfect shot". I would consider this process to be successful. I eagerly anticipate my next project in film, as well as the release of The Stepfather.
